Energy of God
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator
of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no
one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
– Isaiah 40:28-20
In this sermon from Krakow, Poland, Dr. Billy Wilson reflects on the New Testament idea of God’s energy (energeia) and how the Holy Spirit empowers believers beyond human strength. Drawing from Colossians 1:29 and stories from Acts, he shows how this divine energy enables the church to endure challenges such as division, distraction, dilution, and discouragement. Biblical examples like Caesarea Philippi and Pentecost illustrate the Spirit’s power to sustain God’s mission, while insights on Sabbath and personal experiences of exhaustion highlight the need for renewal. The message encourages believers to remain rooted in prayer, unity, integrity, and rest so they can live with resilience and continue the work God has entrusted to them.
