World Impact with Dr. Billy Wilson addresses the deeply felt needs of hurting people around the world by presenting Biblical wisdom on hard-hitting topics in a globally relevant way.

Dr. Wilson is recognized as a global leader with unwavering ethics and a strong business sense who has a passion for building Spirit-empowered leaders to impact the world.

A native of Owensboro, Kentucky, Dr. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, Master of Arts, and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Dr. Wilson is married to his High School sweetheart, Lisa, and has two children; all of whom serve in Christian ministry today.

As host for World Impact with Billy Wilson, he inspires and empowers Christians everywhere to follow God with spiritual integrity and purpose. Originally the radio ministry of the Church of God of Prophecy, Voice of Salvation Ministries debuted on April 4, 1954. Dr Wilson took the helm in 1994 and rebranded the World Impact TV show shortly thereafter. Today, Voice of Salvation is a part of Oral Roberts University and World Impact is seen in 150 nations in English, Spanish, and Russian.

In 2013, Dr. Wilson became the fourth president of Oral Roberts University – the preeminent Spirit-empowered university. Under Dr. Wilson’s leadership, ORU operates with a bold vision to train “Whole Leaders for the Whole World”. This global mandate brings one in five students to ORU from outside the United States, making ORU one of the most globally engaged, and diverse, universities in North America.

Dr. Wilson is part of leading many unique global partnerships bringing ministries together for God’s glory. He is chair of Empowered 21 – an initiative launched at ORU – that brings together ministry leaders, scholars, and next-generation voices from across the Spirit-empowered movement. He has also served in leadership positions with the Mission America Coalition (Lausanne USA), the Pentecostal World Fellowship, and the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem.

Wilson serves as Chair of the historic Pentecostal World Fellowship and as an at-large member of the board of the National Association of Evangelicals. He also holds a leadership position with the Tulsa Regional Chamber of Commerce and is the Chair of the Summit League President’s Council.

He is a renowned speaker and author, writing several books including Father Cry, Foundations of Faith, Fasting Forward, and Generation Z: Born for the Storm.
